Investigation Expands to Bikaner as Authorities Trace Heist Network

Following the arrest of the alleged tip‑off provider, Kolkata police have broadened their probe to include Bikaner in Rajasthan. Intelligence suggests that the mastermind behind the mattress shop robbery resides in the city, and that similar lootings have been reported in Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh and Gujarat.

Multiple complaints across those states allege thefts amounting to several crores, all targeting mattress merchants. Detectives are now coordinating with regional law‑enforcement agencies to locate additional gang members and to recover the stolen cash.

The investigation also revealed that after the robbery, the thieves boarded a train from Haora and headed toward Madhya Pradesh, before dispersing to other locations. The ongoing search aims to dismantle the entire criminal network.
