Investigation Continues After Close Friend Charged in California Double Homicide

California police have arrested Anila, a resident of Erattupetta, as the prime suspect in the murders of Anjana and Ayn Mary Matthew. According to investigators, Anila allegedly stabbed Ayn Mary at her San Jose residence and later lured Anjana to a meeting where she died in a vehicular accident.

Anila is now held in the high‑security section of Santa Clara County Main Jail. The investigation remains ongoing as authorities seek to uncover the motive behind the killings, which have rattled the Malayali community across the United States and India.
