Investigation Continues After Dhenal Lohra’s Arrest Over Wife’s Death

Following the capture of Dhenal Lohra on Saturday, Noida’s Expressway police have intensified their probe into a case that began with an accidental death on 31 July 2026. Lohra, a Jharkhand native, had been living in a cramped shanty at the Nimbus Arista labour camp in sector‑168 when a heated dispute with his spouse, Geeta Kumari, turned fatal.

The couple’s relatives approached the police on 1 August, filing a written petition that led to the registration of a criminal case. Subsequent investigative steps included canvassing the neighbourhood, analysing CCTV footage, and gathering statements from neighbours.

A reliable tip about Lohra’s presence at the Chaprauli T‑point prompted officers to intervene, resulting in his arrest without incident. The police are now conducting detailed interrogations and forensic examinations to piece together the exact sequence of events that caused Geeta’s unintended demise.

Authorities have also highlighted that Lohra’s permanent residence remains in Bara Katta Pani, Taljhari police station, Sahibganj district, Jharkhand, and that he had been earning his livelihood through daily wage labour in Noida’s construction sector.
