Investigation into alleged sexual harassment and forced conversion at TCS Nasik continues

Police are probing nine separate complaints linked to the Nasik unit of Tata Consultancy Services. The allegations range from sexual harassment and forced conversion attempts to psychological intimidation and insult to religious sentiments.

One of the accused, former employee Nida Khan, faces accusations of providing a complainant from a Scheduled Caste background with religious literature, installing Islam‑related apps on a mobile device, teaching prayer rituals, and encouraging the wearing of a hijab. These charges have triggered provisions of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act.

The case is registered at Devalali Camp police station, and a chargesheet has been filed. The court’s recent bail order for Khan does not affect the ongoing investigation, and the final verdict will depend on the evidence presented during trial.

Authorities continue to examine all nine cases to determine the extent of alleged exploitation and to ensure compliance with workplace conduct regulations.
