With the announcement of election dates imminent in Bihar, political parties are gearing up. The BJP has initiated meetings to discuss seat sharing within the NDA. BJP election in-charge Dharmendra Pradhan, accompanied by Vinod Tawde and Samrat Chaudhary, visited Jitan Ram Manjhi at his residence. Manjhi is reportedly firm on his demand for 18 to 20 seats for his party. The leaders aimed to persuade Manjhi regarding the seat allocation. However, sources indicate that Manjhi’s dissatisfaction persists. The primary agenda of the meeting is to strategize the seat distribution for the upcoming Bihar elections. Despite ongoing communication between the BJP and its allies over the past few weeks, today’s meeting could prove decisive. Dharmendra Pradhan and Samrat Chaudhary will engage with Manjhi with a clear strategy from the BJP leadership. The discussions will focus on seats where the BJP and its allies may have direct competition or potential coordination. A detailed discussion may be held regarding the BJP’s list of potential seats, the organizational status, and voter perceptions. The Election Commission has not yet announced the election dates, but it was stated in a press conference on Sunday that the elections will be completed before November 22nd. This suggests that voting may take place in Bihar next month. The JDU has requested the commission to conduct voting in one phase immediately after the festival to allow people who have come from outside to cast their votes.
