INS Samarthak to serve as platform for advanced weapons and sensor trials

The Vice President explained that INS Samarthak will function as a versatile testing platform for next‑generation weapons, sensors and emerging technologies. Its capabilities will include maritime surveillance, offshore patrol, target launch and recovery, unmanned system missions, and support for humanitarian relief.

Such a platform enables the Navy to rapidly integrate new technologies and translate indigenous innovations into operational strength, bridging design, production and field deployment.
