Innovative Teaching in Dhanbad Earns Munmun Bhatta Charya Top Education Prize

Munmun Bhatta Charya has been recognized for turning scarcity into creativity. Since joining Baramsia Middle School in 2019, she introduced teaching‑learning material (TLM) designed in‑house, integrated computer‑based lessons and revitalised the school library. She also set up a dedicated FLN room, where young learners receive intensive basic‑literacy support. By embedding SDG‑related activities such as experiential learning, nutrition gardens and water‑conservation projects, she has broadened the curriculum beyond textbooks, fostering leadership and confidence among her pupils.
