Inmate Mula Ram and Seema Gadse Set to Marry with Judicial Blessing

Justice Pushpendra Singh Bhatia and Justice Praveer Bhatnagar, hearing the case of Mularam from Nagaur, granted the request to marry Seema Gadse Gulab, who is on a 40‑day parole. Both prisoners are serving life terms for murder. Their legal counsel, Kaluram Bhatia, argued that the marriage would provide emotional stability and support their reintegration into society after release. Citing a prior high‑court decision that recognised the right of inmates to marry and have children as a fundamental right, the bench ordered that up to 21 family members, including a priest, may attend the ceremony, subject to prison authority approval.
