Earlier on 9 October, Indresh Kumar declared that people who believe in God, Allah, Ishwar, or any other supreme name share a common humanity. He argued that identity should stem from nation, heritage and culture, not from sectarian labels.
Kumar highlighted that more than 99 % of Indian Muslims are native citizens, not outsiders, and affirmed their right to worship freely. He called for mutual respect during religious celebrations and warned against interference in others’ worship. According to him, cooperation and goodwill are the foundations for a riot‑free, harmonious India.
