India’s top military official has issued a stark warning to Pakistan, signaling that a counter-terrorism operation remains active and that forces are prepared for further action if provoked. Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi stated on Friday that India is fully geared up for ‘Operation Sindoor 2.0’. This aggressive stance indicates India’s unwavering resolve against cross-border terrorism. General Dwivedi articulated that the Indian Armed Forces are prepared for a second phase of the operation, emphasizing readiness to retaliate decisively against any “cowardly act” from Pakistan. He highlighted the unified command of India’s defense services, comprising himself, Air Chief Marshal AP Singh, and Navy Chief Admiral Dinesh Kumar Tripathi, as a formidable deterrent. Operation Sindoor, initiated in May as a response to Pakistan-backed terrorism, is still underway, with India dictating its conclusion. The Army Chief confirmed that the operation will cease only when India deems it appropriate, underscoring New Delhi’s control over the timeline and objectives. This direct communication serves as a clear message to Islamabad about the severe consequences of continued hostile actions.
