India-Japan Ties Honored at Abe Memorial Corridor Inauguration

The Rudraksha Convention Centre in Varanasi hosted the opening of the "Abe Memorial Corridor" on Wednesday, marking a symbolic gesture of gratitude toward the late Japanese premier Shinzo Abe. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath unveiled the corridor on behalf of the state’s 250 million residents, the central government, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The corridor will house memorabilia of Abe’s 2015 visit to India, during which he performed the Ganga Aarti with Modi and presented a gift of Rudraksha beads to the nation. Officials said the memorial will preserve his vision of deeper strategic cooperation and cultural exchange.

Both Indian and Japanese delegations emphasized that the corridor serves as a reminder of the shared commitment to regional stability and economic partnership.
