Commenting on the funeral arrangements for Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Maulana Rashedi said India should have sent a senior-level delegation to the ceremony. He highlighted the historically cordial relationship between the two nations, noting that Iran has continued to supply oil to India despite sanctions and has allowed payments in rupees. Rashedi stressed that India’s energy security relies heavily on Gulf and other Muslim countries, and that any rhetoric against Muslims must be checked, urging the government to act against hate‑filled statements.
