India’s Indigenous Stealth Vessel INS Mahendragiri Commissioned

The spokesperson highlighted the induction of the domestically built stealth warship INS Mahendragiri into the Indian Navy’s Eastern Fleet as a historic milestone. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh oversaw the commissioning of the sixth vessel of the Nilgiri‑class, marking a point of pride not just for Andhra Pradesh but for the entire nation. The ship is expected to bolster maritime strength in the Indian Ocean and reflect the broader "Atmanirbhar Bharat" drive that began in 2014, which has seen Indian defence equipment move from production to export.
