India’s Corporate Leaders Recognised at NDTV Profit Business Leadership Awards 2026
The NDTV Profit Business Leadership Awards 2026 were conferred in New Delhi with Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman as the chief guest. The ceremony honoured individuals and organizations whose strategic choices are defining the direction of Indian industry and its contribution to national economic goals.
A jury chaired by Sunil Bharti Mittal applied a stringent vetting process to shortlist the winners. Sitharaman used the platform to discuss major economic challenges – from the war in West Asia that threatens energy supplies and trade logistics, to climate anomalies such as El Niño and irregular rainfall affecting agriculture and manufacturing.
She highlighted the resilience of Indian enterprises that have continued to invest, produce, innovate and generate jobs despite volatile commodity prices and global uncertainties.
The minister also referred to recent youth protests in Delhi, emphasizing the need for government to listen, engage and respond promptly to the concerns raised by students.
