IMD Warns of Heavy Rain, Lightning and Strong Winds Across Bihar

The IMD's latest bulletin for Bihar warns of heavy rainfall, frequent lightning and strong winds across a wide swath of the state between 11 and 13 August. Yellow alerts have been issued for over twenty districts, with wind speeds projected at 30‑40 km/h. The agency urges people, particularly those working in agriculture, to remain cautious, avoid open spaces during thunderstorms and stay inside sturdy structures. Districts in the north‑east, including Supaul, Araria, Kishanganj, Saharsa, Madhubani, Purnia and Katihar, are expected to experience the most severe conditions. Buxar, Bhojpur, Kaimur, Rohtas, Aurangabad and Arwal may also see intense showers. Central districts such as Patna, Gaya, Muzaffarpur, Darbhanga and Bhagalpur are likely to stay relatively calm.
