IMD Forecasts Warm, Rain‑Free Conditions for Durga Puja in Eight Northeastern States

A senior IMD officer told reporters that the upcoming days will bring dry weather to Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura during the Durga Puja celebrations. The maximum temperature may rise 2‑4°C above the seasonal average, while minimum temperatures remain near typical values. Though a couple of light showers cannot be ruled out, the overall outlook is favourable for large crowds attending pandals and cultural programs.
