IMD Forecast Predicts Torrential Downpour and 60 km/h Gusts in Delhi

The latest IMD bulletin warns of a torrential downpour set to hit Delhi NCR with wind gusts touching 60 kilometres per hour. All eleven districts—including New Delhi, North East, South West and others—are slated for heavy rainfall that may exceed 15 millimetres per hour, alongside sudden lightning activity.

Adjacent regions in Haryana such as Faridabad and Gurugram, as well as Uttar Pradesh districts like Ghaziabad and Meerut, have been placed under orange alerts for moderate to strong rain and winds between 40 and 60 km/h. Citizens are advised to remain indoors, avoid low‑lying areas, and heed any instructions from local authorities regarding traffic and emergency services.
