Court hears petition alleging illegal use of playground for health camp frames

During a hearing on Wednesday, the Calcutta High Court examined allegations that the Sevashray health camp structures were illegally occupying a local playfield. The petitioner argued that the temporary installations, set up ahead of the state elections, had become a public nuisance after the camp’s closure. The bench, comprising Acting Chief Justice Tapabrata Chakraborti and Justice Atarup Banerjee, concluded that the frames must be removed to restore the community's access to the ground.
