Divya Mittal, a 2013 batch IAS officer currently holding the post of Special Secretary, Revenue Department, Uttar Pradesh, announced her resignation on August 30. The decision follows a distinguished career that began with studies at IIT Delhi and IIM Bangalore, a brief professional spell in London, and a return to India to serve the civil service. In her emotional message, Mittal said the soil of India nurtured her confidence and ambition, and she felt compelled to give back. She praised mentors and colleagues who stood shoulder‑to‑shoulder with her, and recounted moments such as a senior citizen’s silent blessing on a hilltop in Lahuaria Dah, which she described as a lasting touch that will never fade.
