IGDTUW Announces Direct Hiring for 36 Teaching Posts – Eligibility and Application Details

Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women has opened a direct recruitment cycle for 36 regular Group‑A teaching positions. The vacancies consist of ten Professor, fourteen Associate Professor and twelve Assistant Professor roles, allocated as follows: Architecture (1), Architecture‑M‑Plan (1), Applied Sciences‑English (1), Computer Science & Engineering (2 for Professor, 4 for Associate, 1 for Assistant), Electronics & Communication (1 each), Information Technology (3 Professors, 4 Associate Professors, 6 Assistant Professors), Mechanical‑Automation Engineering (1 Professor, 1 Associate, 2 Assistant) and a few slots in Applied Sciences‑Mathematics and Chemistry.

The online application process commenced on 22 July, with the final date fixed at 21 August. Applicants must register on the IGDTUW official website, complete the form, pay the prescribed fee and upload all documentary evidence. After the digital submission, a hard‑copy dossier, including the application and original certificates, should be posted to the Registrar, IGDTUW, Kashmiri Gate, Delhi‑110006 by 4:30 pm on 28 August.

Eligibility mandates a Ph.D. in the relevant stream, first‑class (or comparable) academic record at bachelor’s or master’s level, and a minimum of ten years of teaching/research/industry experience (at least three years at the Associate Professor grade). For promotion, candidates should have six SCI/UGC‑approved journal articles and have guided at least two Ph.D. candidates. Salary scales vary between INR 57,700 and INR 2,18,200 per month, alongside standard university benefits. Application fees are INR 1,000 for general category, INR 800 for OBC/EWS/women, and are waived for SC/ST/PwBD applicants.
