Police Officer in Hyderabad Ends Life While Speaking to Female Caller

On the night of September 21, a Hyderabad police constable named Muthé Chandrashekhar, 35, committed suicide while on a video call with a woman. The constable, who served as a writer at Malakpet police station, used a rope to strangle himself at his residence in Shalivahan Nagar, Musarram Bagh. He announced his intention to the woman, who promptly reported the incident to Chaitanyapuri police, who then alerted Malakpet officials. By the time the police arrived, the constable was already dead. His remains were sent to Osmaniya General Hospital for a post‑mortem examination. The investigation now focuses on the relationship between the constable and the woman. This case is the latest in a series of suicides among Telangana police personnel, raising concerns about officer welfare.
