Humanitarian Field Hospital Saves Lives in Venezuela's Disaster Zone
New Delhi, July 2 – A 60‑bed para‑field hospital dispatched by the Indian Army under Operation Amistad is now a vital health hub in quake‑affected Venezuela. The mobile facility has treated 815 patients so far, providing both emergency and routine medical services.
Twenty patients are currently admitted, receiving continuous care for severe injuries. The medical team has also tended to dental needs of 233 individuals, carried out 1,836 laboratory analyses and completed 253 radiographic examinations.
Surgeons in the field have successfully concluded roughly 65 operations, many of which were critical and could not be delayed. The outreach program works in partnership with local authorities to reach remote communities, delivering medicines, diagnostics and surgical expertise.
