Human rights panel demands rapid antivenom access in high‑risk districts

In response to a death in Chitrakoot, Uttar Pradesh, where delayed provision of anti‑snake venom was alleged, the NHRC has asked officials to submit an action‑taken report within a stipulated timeframe. The commission stressed that every high‑risk district must have a dependable supply chain for antivenom, eliminating any lag between a bite incident and the administration of treatment.
