Speaking to a news agency, Taslima Akhtar, chairperson of the ATVK, emphasized that humanity requires a fight for justice in POJK. She called for an appeal across the whole of Jammu and Kashmir, urging people to stand together on August 10 in support of POJK’s non‑violent demonstrations. Akhtar noted that since 1947 the POJK population has been fighting for basic rights while the Pakistani government and army continue to commit crimes. She stated that the time has arrived for Pakistan to relinquish control and allow POJK’s integration with Indian Kashmir.
