Hubli engineers under scrutiny as Lokayukta uncovers alleged excess assets

Authorities in Hubli have intensified investigations into senior engineers of the state electricity supply board after allegations of wealth accumulation beyond declared income. Deputy SP Basavaraj Budani disclosed that the Lokayukta’s team raided four locations in a single sweep, seizing documents related to land holdings, banking activity and personal property. Both Kiron Kumar and his wife Preeti serve as Assistant Executive Engineers, and the probe aims to determine if their combined assets violate statutory limits.
