Gautam Buddh Nagar’s food safety teams are in high gear ahead of Holi, targeting adulterated sweets and savories with surprise inspections. Following orders from the District Magistrate, officials swept through sweet shops and dairies, gathering eight key samples for quality checks.
This proactive measure ensures festival-goers enjoy authentic, safe eats without health risks. Speaking on the efforts, Assistant Commissioner Suresh Mishra highlighted the ongoing special drive. A team under Mukesh Kumar and Vijay Bahadur Patel began with a sample of ready-to-eat dal.
Inspections extended to Greater Noida’s Ecotech-3, where khoya was sampled from a prominent outlet. In Dankaur’s Yamuna Gour City, namkeen came under scrutiny, alongside khoya from Sikandrabad Road. Sector-49’s Barola shop surrendered kalakand and besan laddus to O.P. Singh and S.K. Pandey’s squad.
Noida’s Sector-63 mithai vendor provided gujiya, while Dadri’s Railway Road dairy yielded ghee. All eight samples are now en route to testing labs. Mishra emphasized sustained vigilance, promising severe penalties for violators under food safety laws. The message is clear: no compromise on quality during Holi celebrations.
