Hit‑and‑run turned fatal in Hyderabad as second collision kills injured man

On the early hours of September 1, a hit‑and‑run on Hyderabad’s Raydug‑Khajaguda stretch escalated into a fatal double‑collision scenario. At about 4:15 a.m., an SUV from the Nanakramguda direction struck a 35‑year‑old pedestrian, leaving him badly hurt.

The SUV’s driver, 21‑year‑old Jaidashah Kadrie, stopped the car and tried to move the injured man toward a hospital in Gachibowli. While the victim was still on the ground, a second vehicle sped past and slammed into the stationary SUV, causing a catastrophic impact.

The pedestrian died instantly, and the SUV driver suffered a fractured right leg along with other injuries. He was later admitted to a private medical facility where he also passed away.

CCTV recordings and other digital traces enabled investigators to locate the first offending vehicle. The police arrested Sandeep, the son of art director Anand Sai, who fled the site after the crash. His blood‑alcohol level was reported as negative.

The Hyderabad police have launched a comprehensive probe into both incidents, reviewing traffic camera footage, witness statements, and forensic data to determine the exact sequence of events.
