The unveiling ceremony also announced plans to rename the Teeriyarganj intersection after Masuriyadin Pasi and to establish a new educational institution bearing his name. The CM highlighted Pasi’s role in the abolition of the 1871 Criminal Tribes Act, which had stigmatised the Pasi, Sonkar and other Dalit groups. By confronting the law in 1952, Pasi helped integrate these communities into mainstream society. The government’s initiatives aim to keep his memory alive and inspire future generations to respect the sacrifices of freedom fighters.
