Historic ‘Sea Circumnavigation’ marks joint triumph of Indian armed forces

The ‘Sea Circumnavigation’ expedition, executed by the all‑women team from the three services, is being hailed as a landmark in Indian defence history. Starting on 22 July, the crew sailed under a single flag, completing a full global loop that encompassed the Atlantic, Pacific, Indian and Southern Oceans. Despite long periods at sea, shifting climates and demanding navigation, the team maintained operational excellence and demonstrated the effectiveness of joint training and coordination among the services.
