Himachali BJP chief slams Congress promises on jobs and Ram temple

Shimon, July 8 – Rajiv Bindal, president of the Himachal Pradesh BJP, launched a pointed criticism of the Congress government’s unkept promises on employment and the Ram temple.

Bindal reminded listeners that his 35‑year record of elected service is a testament to the confidence placed in him by the public, eliminating the need for any external certification from Congress leader Vikramaditya Singh.

He highlighted the recent Panchayati Raj and municipal elections, where the electorate gave Congress a stark rebuke, suggesting that repeated setbacks have left the party’s leaders in a state of frustration, reflected in their public discourse.

The BJP chief asserted that such political commentary cannot deflect attention from the state’s administrative failures. Over the past four years, he claimed, the Congress regime imposed severe hardships on citizens, especially the young unemployed.

Bindal noted that the Congress promised to create 500,000 jobs and 100,000 government posts before the election, yet has delivered none of these commitments. He said the youth are now demanding accountability, while the government seeks to shift focus away from its shortcomings.

Turning to the Ram temple issue, Bindal said the nation is well aware of Congress’s historical opposition to the project. He accused the party of using appeasement politics to stall the temple’s construction, only to now portray itself as a supporter of Lord Ram’s birthplace.

In conclusion, Bindal called on the Congress to stop baseless political statements and address its unfinished promises, growing unemployment and governance lapses. He reaffirmed that the BJP will continue to champion people‑oriented concerns and hold the Congress accountable for each broken pledge.
