High Court orders fresh probe into alleged benefits to CMRL‑Exalogic, names two first accused

Following a single‑bench directive, the High Court instructed the VACB to conduct a comprehensive inquiry into payments made by CMRL to Exalogic Solutions and the alleged favours extended to officials. The court also cancelled a police chief’s order to set up a Special Investigation Team (SIT) without government approval. It expects the state to issue a fresh order for appointing a special team as recommended by the vigilance director.
