High Court order prompts fast‑track hiring of 1,900 Community Health Officers

Following directives from the High Court, the state will soon fill 1,900 vacant Community Health Officer (CHO) positions. The recruitment is being fast‑tracked to ensure that rural and semi‑urban health programmes receive the staffing support required for effective delivery of services.

The minister affirmed that completing these CHO appointments will complement the ongoing doctor and health‑worker hires, creating a more balanced and responsive public health system.
