Political comments by Hegde on Maharashtra leadership and Modi's NZ visit

When asked about speculation that Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis might be sent to Delhi, Hegde labeled it an internal Bharatiya Janata Party matter and declined to comment, while praising Fadnavis' development work. He also criticised Sanjay Raut's past predictions as inaccurate and lauded the Mahayuti government for its unity. Regarding Prime Minister Narendra Modi's historic New Zealand trip, Hegde called it a milestone for Indo‑New Zealand ties, noting agreements on defence, trade, security and technology that aim to boost bilateral commerce over the coming years.
