Health, Youth and Defence Ministries Unite for Community TB Fight

In a coordinated effort, the ministries of Health, Youth Affairs and Sports, and Defence joined forces to launch the JOSH squads, a volunteer‑led drive to eradicate TB at the grassroots level. The squads will operate in blocks, wards and community clusters, delivering key messages on TB prevention, early detection and complete treatment. Minister Nadda thanked the sports and defence ministries for enabling 58,000 volunteers to work village‑by‑village. Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta emphasized that a healthy population is the foundation of a prosperous nation and praised the tri‑ministerial "trishakti" partnership as a national mission.
