Health minister’s paper‑leak accusation challenged by J&K leader

In a swift response on X, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Umar Abdullah disputed Union Health Minister JP Nadda’s narrative surrounding the Service Selection Board paper leak. Abdullah clarified that the incident was from 2022, a period when the region was administered by the Lieutenant Governor rather than an elected National Conference‑Congress cabinet.

He noted that the J&K High Court had already weighed in with remarks and directives concerning the leak and expressed uncertainty about the conclusions of the High‑Level Committee set up to investigate the matter.

Abdullah invited Nadda to disclose any pending information during his next press briefing, implying that the minister’s claims required factual backing.

Nadda had earlier used a press conference to highlight paper‑leak controversies across several non‑NDA states and specifically mentioned Jammu and Kashmir, prompting the CM’s corrective post.
