Health Checks and Ayurvedic Remedies Offered at RARI’s Ayurveda Day Event
The Regional Ayurvedic Research Institute in Patna organized a comprehensive Ayurveda Day program on September 23, combining a mini‑expo of traditional foods with on‑site medical services. The event, themed “Ayurveda for a Healthy Tomorrow,” sought to spread knowledge about Ayurvedic nutrition, millets, and lifestyle habits that support well‑being.
Dr. Krishna Pandey, Director of ICMR‑RMNIAH, inaugurated the ceremony, and Dr. Banmali Das highlighted the role of locally sourced, seasonal foods in maintaining a balanced diet as described in Ayurvedic scriptures.
Exhibitors displayed a variety of dishes made from millets and other wholesome ingredients, offering visitors insights into their nutritional benefits and practical ways to include them in daily meals.
Parallel to the food showcase, the institute set up health screening booths where patients, relatives, and community members received free medical examinations. Ayurvedic medicines were dispensed according to individual needs, and a suite of informational material—books, brochures, and digital content—on nutrition, disease prevention, and healthy living was distributed.
The program reinforced the importance of regular daily routines, balanced nutrition, yoga, and lifestyle adjustments that align with a person’s constitution and seasonal changes, echoing the core principles of Ayurveda.
