Hazratganj to Royal Hotel Closed as BJP Holds Padyatras
Movement between Hazratganj and Royal Hotel in Lucknow will be restricted as the BJP holds padyatras across the state capital on November 3. Traffic police have set up diversions on 22 routes to manage the expected crowds and processions.
The padyatras are being organised under the party's 'Loktantra Bachao-Arajakta Hatao' campaign. Similar programmes are being held in various parts of Uttar Pradesh on the same day.
In Lucknow, six padyatras have been planned. To manage the movement of vehicles, police have decided to divert traffic on the affected roads, and the Hazratganj to Royal Hotel stretch will remain closed to regular vehicles.
Party office-bearers, public representatives, workers from various fronts and cells, saints, traders, teachers, lawyers, doctors, and members of social and religious organisations are expected to participate in the padyatras.
The traffic department has said that restrictions may be imposed or changed on the roads as required during the programmes. Vehicles travelling from Hazratganj crossing towards Royal Hotel crossing will not be allowed. Drivers have been asked to use alternative routes, and traffic personnel will be deployed on the diverted roads.
Emergency movement will not be affected. Ambulances, hearses, fire service vehicles, and other essential service vehicles will be allowed to pass even under the restrictions.
Commuters can contact the traffic control number 9454405155 for any inconvenience or information related to traffic.
