Hathras Politics Ahead of 2027: Sadabad, Sikandrao and Hathras Seats
Lucknow, November 1: The stage is being set for the 2027 Assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh, and Hathras district is drawing considerable political attention. The district comprises three Assembly constituencies, and the alliances that shaped the 2022 outcome are now changing.
In 2022, the BJP won two of the district's three seats, and the RLD won one. Today, the RLD is part of the NDA. Meanwhile, the Samajwadi Party may join hands with the Congress, which has altered the expected contest.
The Hathras seat is reserved for Scheduled Castes, and BJP's Anjula Singh Maahor is its current MLA. Sikandrao's MLA is Virendra Singh Rana of the BJP, while Sadabad is represented by RLD's Pradeep Kumar Singh, known as Guddu Chaudhary.
How Hathras Voted in 2022 Maahor secured a decisive win in Hathras, defeating BSP's Sanjeev Kumar by more than 70,000 votes. Her total was 1,54,655, while Sanjeev Kumar polled 53,799. SP's Brijmohan Rahi was third with 47,185 votes, and 14 candidates were in the race.

SP's Lalit Pratap Baghel received 89,990 votes, while BSP's Awadhesh Kumar Singh finished third with 41,781 votes. Congress's Chhavi Vaishnav got just 1,159 votes and ranked fifth. The seat had 12 candidates in the last election.
