'Har Ghar Tiranga' flag‑raising initiative begins with CM’s residence ceremony

Madhya Pradesh chief minister Mohan Yadav officially launched the "Har Ghar Tiranga" programme by raising the Indian national flag at his Bhopal home on August 9. The drive seeks to inspire citizens to hoist the tricolour at every dwelling, reinforcing national pride.

The leader also joined the "Tiranga Yatra" organized in TT Nagar Stadium, where volunteers marched with the flag, chanting slogans that celebrate India's independence.

While speaking to the press, Yadav highlighted the significance of Mahatma Gandhi's 1942 call for the British to leave India and praised the enduring legacy of freedom fighters. He reminded the audience that the country will celebrate its 80th Independence Day on August 15, under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's guidance.

He called on the public to take up the responsibility of nation‑building and to protect India’s sovereignty and unity. Yadav mentioned that similar flag‑raising journeys are underway in other state capitals and urged participation.

In a social media post, the chief minister expressed his homage to the martyrs and pledged that the Tiranga will continue to fly high across the nation.
