Hackathon Targets Lithium Mapping and Patent Tracking for Critical Minerals

The hackathon invites innovators to develop a prospectivity heat‑map for lithium and rare‑earth pegmatites using open data, and to design a user‑friendly, web‑based smart R&D and patent tracking system for critical minerals. The submission deadline is September 20, 2026, and the winners will be announced during India Mining Week 2026, scheduled for November 15‑17, 2026. For each problem statement, two winning teams will be awarded – the top prize of INR 1.5 lakh and a runner‑up prize of INR 1 lakh.
