Gurjar Singh Highlights Democratic Principles Over Dynastic Claims

Patna, July 19 – Union Minister Gurjar Singh reiterated that India’s democracy does not belong to any royal house. In a candid interview, Singh accused Rahul Gandhi of perpetuating a family‑centric view of politics, claiming that the congress leader believes only the Nehru lineage should wield political power.

The minister pointed out that the prime minister’s office is currently held by Narendra Modi, a man who once sold tea, thereby underscoring the merit‑based nature of Indian elections. Singh warned that clinging to dynastic entitlement undermines the democratic fabric of the country.

He called on all political parties to maintain the smooth functioning of Parliament, to protect the rights of citizens, and to work collectively for the nation’s progress. According to Singh, a robust democratic system requires every stakeholder to respect procedural norms and focus on public welfare.

In complementary remarks, BJP spokesperson Shahnawaz Hussain stressed the importance of the upcoming monsoon legislative session, noting that key bills will be debated and potentially enacted. He urged the opposition to engage constructively rather than creating disruptions.

Hussain also projected confidence in a decisive BJP win in the Banikpur by‑election, emphasizing that the party must improve on its previous margin while safeguarding its candidate’s legal standing.

Addressing the Sonam Wangchuk controversy, Hussain accused Rahul Gandhi of neglecting domestic issues for an overseas tour, suggesting that the congress leader could have visited the protest site but chose not to, and is now attempting to retroactively address the criticism.
