Gurgaon residents detained after threatening villagers in Noida incident

Authorities in Greater Noida’s Dhanakaur police station have detained three men from Gurgaon‑adjacent Todi village for allegedly threatening the lives of villagers. The arrested individuals—Nasir alias Sonu, Kasim and Abdul Majid—were linked to an August 24, 2026, road incident that resulted in a violent assault.

The incident involved three locals, Arif, Irfan and Nadeem, travelling from the hamlet of Achcheja Buzurg toward Dhanakaur when a Mahindra Thar, driven by Nasir, collided with their vehicle. Irfan’s protest after the crash led to a physical altercation in which the suspects allegedly battered Irfan and Nadeem and shouted threats to kill them.

A First Information Report (FIR) filed on 26 August set the investigative wheels in motion. Using local intelligence and routine beat patrols, officers located the three suspects at the home of the elderly resident of Achcheja Buzurg and arrested them. The trio, all from Todi village, are aged 30, 26 and 30 respectively.

Background checks revealed that Nasir has an earlier 2019 charge under IPC section 393 (case no. 46/19) and Kasim a 2020 charge encompassing sections 323, 324, 504 and 506 (case no. 184/20). Legal action against the three continues as the police probe further details of the case.
