Gupta Supports Amit Shah on Infiltration, Blames Congress for Border Laxity

Mumbai, August 26 – Emphasising national security, Rohan Gupta backed Home Minister Amit Shah’s remarks on cross‑border infiltration. Gupta argued that the Congress’s "flaccid" policies have encouraged illegal entry, especially along West Bengal’s border, and cited the delayed fence‑building as evidence of governmental negligence.

He claimed that opposition parties, including the Trinamool Congress, have indulged in appeasement politics that exacerbate the infiltration problem. Gupta stressed that the BJP treats infiltration as more than an electoral issue; it is a matter of sovereignty. He pointed to strict actions being taken in Assam, West Bengal and other affected states, asserting that the goal of a "infiltration‑free India" is within reach.
