Gunshots Wound Two Criminals During Police Encounter in Usmanpur

During a carefully planned raid in Usmanpur Yamuna Khadar, North‑East Delhi, late on October 5, police engaged in an armed confrontation with two suspects tied to the Lawrence Bishnoi‑Razaq Kewl network. The Special Staff team, acting on confidential intelligence, signaled the suspects to stop. Instead, the duo opened fire, leading to an exchange of gunfire that injured both men in the legs. The wounded suspects, identified as Vasim and Kaif, were seized and transferred to a hospital for medical care. Investigators said the pair had previously extorted a local trader in Bhajanpura on Oct 2 and faced charges for a prior shooting incident. Their capture follows a recent operation that saw the arrest of Gulam Khwaja, alias Ale, an active member of the “Takkar” gang, whose statements linked him to criminal activities across Delhi’s western suburbs and Haryana.
