New dolphin and turtle projects to boost Gujarat’s beach attractions

Environmental Minister Arjun Modhwadia highlighted the presence of roughly 680 dolphins along the coast, making dolphin‑watching a flagship attraction. In Saurashtra, three marine‑turtle breeding centres have been created to protect endangered species. Additionally, the Pirana Marine National Park and nearby islands are being developed as eco‑tourism sites, offering guided boat rides, wildlife observation and educational programmes for visitors.
