Greenfield Aluminium Project in Odisha Highlights Growing India-UAE Investment
The proposed $11.5 billion aluminium complex in Odisha, put forward by the UAE International Holding Company, was a focal point of the discussions. Described as India’s largest integrated aluminium investment, the project aims to transform the state into a world‑class aluminium manufacturing centre.
Both leaders agreed that the venture could serve as a flagship example of India‑UAE investment cooperation, creating jobs, boosting exports and encouraging further private sector participation from both countries. They also highlighted the role of the sovereign investment platform Al‑Imad in facilitating such large‑scale, long‑term projects.
The statement reiterated that deepening economic ties through strategic investments is a cornerstone of the bilateral relationship, complementing ongoing collaboration in defence, space and technology.
