Green Roads Revolution: Gujarat’s Rs 1,147 Cr Sustainable Push

Gujarat is pioneering eco-friendly road construction with a massive Rs 1,147 crore investment. The programme, spearheaded by Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, targets 20 stretches across 12 districts and employs cutting-edge climate-resilient technologies to rebuild and strengthen existing pavements. Instead of discarding old materials, engineers will mill, stabilise with cement and chemicals, and overlay stress-absorbing membranes, reducing carbon footprints and extending road lifespan.
