Central Minister Piyush Goyal has taken aim at Rahul Gandhi after the Congress MP raised concerns about an edtech company. Goyal highlighted that the same firm had previously received project approvals from universities governed by Congress administrations in Karnataka and Telangana. According to Goyal, Bengaluru City University, Kaloji Narayan Rao University of Health Sciences, Adikavi Shri Mahrishi Valmiki University, and Karnataka University, Dharwad all signed agreements with the company between 2023 and 2025. He noted that one Telangana health university had even publicly praised the company’s work on its official website. The minister challenged Rahul Gandhi to clarify his stance, asking whether he would also accuse the Congress chief ministers of Karnataka and Telangana of collusion. Goyal suggested that the selective criticism appears designed to embarrass the central government rather than address any genuine concerns about the company. He concluded by stating that India has outgrown the era of baseless accusations followed by conspiracy theories when evidence surfaces, signaling a shift in public expectations from political discourse.
