Goyal Credits Young Indian Demographic and Remittances for Growing Global Influence

Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal used his Tokyo remarks to draw attention to India’s demographic dividend. With an average age of just 29 years, the country enjoys a large, productive workforce that fuels domestic demand and offers a talent pool for global investors.

The minister also highlighted the economic impact of overseas Indian workers. Remittances sent home, he said, sustain families, stimulate local economies and add to national savings and investment.
