Government urges space ecosystem growth, startups invited

Dr. V. Narayanan outlined the government’s policy direction to strengthen India’s space ecosystem. He said ISRO will act as a hand‑holder and in‑space authoriser, enabling startups, private firms and corporates to participate in large‑scale space activities.

The chairman explained that this inclusive approach is expected to multiply the space economy severalfold, creating new markets in satellite services, data analytics and downstream applications. He urged innovators to align their solutions with national priorities such as climate monitoring, disaster management and resource optimization.

The speech reinforced India’s ambition to transition from a launch‑centric model to a comprehensive space economy that integrates research, commercialisation and public service delivery.
